During her middle school years, Futaba Yoshioka had a fondness for Kou Tanaka, who stood out from the other boys due to his kindness. However, Kou Tanaka relocated, and they eventually lost touch. As Futaba completes her first year in high school, she encounters Kou once more. He now goes by the name Kou Mabuchi, and his demeanor appears to have shifted from what she remembers from their middle school days.
