Naive and alluring Allyson decides to leave her boyfriend Peter behind to pursue acting classes in Los Angeles. Upon arriving, she rents a room in an apartment building owned by the cantankerous Mr. Merry, with her neighbor being Bridget, a local sex worker. By day, Allyson grapples with her acting lessons at the pretentious Eric Constantine’s acting school. By night, she indulges in voyeuristic fantasies, watching the self-assured and stunning Bridget attend to her clients through a keyhole. During her classes, Allyson encounters Jerry, a professional photographer, who proposes to create a portfolio for her.
