All Def Comedy

In the 1990s, Russell Simmons was instrumental in launching the careers of many of today’s comedy stars through his HBO series, Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam. Now, he makes a return to the network with All Def Comedy, recorded live on September 7 at the Avalon Theatre in Los Angeles. The event, hosted by Tony Rock and featuring DJ Drama, presents an unfiltered special showcasing a range of comedic styles from emerging talents discovered at ADD’s weekly comedy showcase. Performers include Chris Powell, Zainab Johnson, Kevin Tate, and Robert Powell, along with Tony Roberts, a seasoned comedian from HBO’s Def Comedy Jam.
