A Regular Woman

Hatun “Aynur” Sürücü, a lively young Turkish woman and mother, tragically loses her life at the age of 23 when her youngest brother kills her in an honor-related crime. At 16, her deeply religious Muslim family compels her into a harmful arranged marriage with a cousin in Istanbul. Aynur manages to flee to Berlin, where she has a son. Viewed as a shameful burden by her family, Aynur decides to separate from them and strives to build a new life for herself.
