A Long Way Off
Jacob, weary of life on the family farm and his father’s strict rules, decides to ask for his inheritance early. To his surprise, his father agrees, and Jacob sets off for the city to live life on his own terms. Initially, he thrives, taking bold business risks that turn his modest inheritance into a substantial fortune. Despite his extravagant lifestyle, which attracts the wrong kind of attention, including from the alluring Laura and her wealthy, often dangerous boyfriend Frank, Jacob enjoys success. He has it all: wealth, women, and status. However, his fortunes take a drastic turn, and he loses everything. As he hits rock bottom, his situation worsens until he finds himself scavenging for food and living in a pigsty. Realizing his mistakes, he decides to return home, ready to start anew in a humble position on the farm. His father, once again, surprises him by rushing to meet him—but is it with open arms or with anger?
