Carnival Is Over

Regina and Valerio are an attractive and content couple, relishing their wealth from a lavish villa perched atop the hills of Rio de Janeiro. Following the passing of Valerio’s father, the city’s most notorious gangster, they are eager to escape the dangerous criminal underworld. However, Valerio’s uncle, Linduarte, pressures him to take on his familial duties. In a bid to negotiate with Linduarte one evening, the couple inadvertently causes his death. This incident propels them into a cycle of violence, drawing them deeper into the very life they were trying to leave behind.
