Two defiant young men, Ralph and Scott, grapple with the challenges of growing up while the Vietnam War looms large. Feeling confined in their provincial town, Scott clashes with his traditionalist veteran father, Cliff, while Ralph contends with his overtly sexual mother, Ev. When devastating news from the war front reaches them, the whole community, influenced by Ralph and Scott’s antiwar activism, begins to reconsider its stance on the conflict.
