Mariana is an organized young woman who is learning English and German at a language institute. She dedicates as much time as she can to her job at a call center, saving every penny she makes. For a bit of fun, she seeks out men in bars for one-night encounters, avoiding any commitments because her true desire is to travel. Her ultimate goal is to escape to a Mediterranean island. However, Gabriel, an unexpected guy who persistently intrudes into her life with his awkward humor and probing questions, compels her to reflect on herself and question what she is trying to escape from.
