Set against the harrowing backdrop of Auschwitz during World War II, this film follows Saul Ausländer, a Jewish prisoner forced to work in the camp’s crematoriums. As he discovers the body of a boy he believes to be his son, Saul embarks on a perilous quest to find a rabbi to give the child a proper burial.
