Edgar Allen Poe’s Ligeia

A young artist, ensnared by the chains of opium addiction, revisits his surreal romance with an enigmatic Soprano named Ligeia. As he delves into these drug-fueled recollections, the boundaries between reality and illusion, memory and hallucination, start to merge into a bewildering maze of obsession and hopelessness. Despite being restored to health by a new love, Lady Rowena, the lingering memories of Ligeia, along with the specters of Azrael and Nehushtan, persist in tormenting his mind and spirit.
