Jules Cobb, a mother in her forties, navigates the amusing trials, setbacks, and joys of the next phase of her life. Accompanying her on this journey are her son, her ex-husband, her husband who also happens to be her neighbor, and her friends. Together, they form a dysfunctional yet loving and supportive extended family, even if their ways of expressing it are sometimes unconventional.
