Girl Meets Bear

The anime centers around Machi, a middle schooler who works as a shrine maiden at a Shinto shrine and looks after a bear residing in the mountains of Japan’s northern Tohoku area. This bear, named Natsu, can speak and acts as Machi’s protector. When Machi informs Natsu of her plans to attend school in the city, he sets a series of challenges for her to complete, ensuring she is prepared for urban life.
