Living on One Dollar

How do 1.1 billion people worldwide survive on less than a dollar a day? Four young friends decide to explore and experience this harsh reality firsthand. Equipped with only a video camera and a strong desire to learn, they each live on just 56 dollars for 56 days in the rural area of Pena Blanca, Guatemala. They face challenges such as E.Coli, financial strain, and the harsh truth that solutions are not simple. However, the kindness and resilience of their neighbors, Rosa, Anthony, and Chino, provide them with enduring hope. Upon returning home, they are transformed and committed to sharing their newfound insights with fellow students, motivating and challenging their generation to make a difference.
