Frank Banner, once an expert in facilitating the safe defection of Soviet spies to the West, suffered a personal tragedy when his wife was killed during one of these missions. With the Cold War now a thing of the past, Banner is tasked with the dangerous mission of escorting a former K.G.B. operative who is being hunted by both the CIA and the Russian Mafia.
