2036: Nexus Dawn

Set in the year 2036, this in-universe short film centers on Niander Wallace, portrayed by Jared Leto. Directed by Luke Scott, the film showcases Wallace unveiling a new series of “perfected” replicants known as the Nexus 9. His goal is to overturn the existing ban on replicants, a move that will undoubtedly have significant consequences for the storyline of Blade Runner 2049.
