Johnny and Tanner are siblings who grew up in a tumultuous and abusive household, with a father who was a violent psychopath. One fateful day, their father’s aggression towards their mother escalates to a tragic level. As a result, Tanner ends up incarcerated, while Johnny is placed in foster care, where he finally experiences a stable and loving environment. Fast forward several years, Johnny (played by Scott Waugh) is now a college student with promising grades and a bright future, whereas Tanner (portrayed by Sean Graham) is struggling to escape a life of crime. Tanner reaches out to Johnny, requesting his support at a parole hearing. Johnny agrees, only to later realize that the hearing is not in nearby Hollywood, California, but in Hollywood, Florida, on the opposite coast. Despite the unexpected twist, Johnny honors his commitment, and the brothers set off in Tanner’s old Lincoln Continental with just twelve dollars, hoping luck will see them through their cross-country journey.
